Second Environmental Intelligence summer school

June 19 @ 08:00 - June 21 @ 17:00

Environmental Intelligence integrates the synergies among environmental science, advanced sensor research, data science, robotics, and Artificial Intelligence to enhance our understanding of the environment and mitigate the effects of climate change. In the second edition of this school, the digitalization of environments using radically new strategies will be addressed. The goal is to provide with a broad point of view about strategies to understand nature and its requirements from different abiotic and biotic models. Specifically, the understanding of environments related to water resources will be addressed deeper in this school, knowing their requirements and demands through the incorporation of portable and miniaturized wearable-type sensors as well as modeling, capable of carrying out measurements in a decentralized manner.
With all this, we will achieve an understanding of water consumption at the plot level using (bio)sensors, a key aspect in terms of the resources available in this area in the coming years. Additionally, water management will also be addressed through the use of SWAT-type models capable of providing information on different water aspects of the ecosystem at the basin level.
