3rd WatchPlant Project meeting, the project on the field
The team that make up the WatchPlant Project has met with hybrid format, most of the partners travelled Seville, while others attended online.
During December 13rd and 14th , both, the Project leader (ITE) and WatchPlant partners, a great team with highly qualified researchers committed to this Project financed by the European Commission, had the opportunity to share all the progress they have made in every work package, and the future tasks and exciting challenges that they will face during next year.
WatchPlant researchers try to create a Smart biohybrid phyto-organisms for environmental in situ monitoring, to improve the environmental context in cities and other sectors like smart agriculture or foresting.
One of the most exciting moments of the meeting occurred when visiting CSIC Seville facilities: the fruit tree orchard experimental farm (CSIC-IRNAS) and the air quality station in Seville (CSIC-IDAEA). This first approach has been very important for the project since the team has been exploring the possibilities for the deployment of the biohybrid organisms when ready, located nearby the high quality meteo station. An experience that all of them will remember.
Coordinator and partners joined in this meeting: Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE), University of Stockholm (KTH); CIM-MES PROJEKT, Polish company specializes in high-quality research; Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC); Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb (FER), and the German University of Luebeck (UzL).
